Introduction of the Kindergarten Uniforms’ Hub

The children’s wear industry in Zhili, Huzhou, began in the end of 1970s, after more than 40 years of development, has grown into China’s largest and most comprehensively integrated industrial cluster for children’s wear and kindergarten uniforms. Zhili Town has gathered over 14,000 children’s wear enterprises, with an annual production capacity of 2 billion pieces (sets), accounting for two-thirds of the national market share and annual sales nearing RMB 100 billion. As a core component, its school and kindergarten uniforms’ supply chain comprises are more than 1,000 enterprises, with an annual production capacity exceeding 50 million sets, making it the most significant readystock production base for kindergarten uniforms in China. Representative brands include Mini Bear, Guozhi School Uniform, and Babi Beike.

The core strengths of Zhili’s kindergarten uniforms’ industry lie in its extreme supply chain efficiency, rapid market responsiveness, and flexible adaptability in the face of challenges. The industrial belt has formed a complete ecosystem spanning design, fabrics, accessories, and production, enabling smallbatch and fastresponse flexible, manufacturing. In response to market shifts, companies are driving growth through a dual strategy of “global expansion” and “deepening segmented markets”. On one hand, companies are actively exploring overseas markets such as Southeast Asia and Russia, with export values showing significant growth in 2024. On the other hand, companies are seizing opportunities in the marketoriented school uniform sector, participating in tenders with differentiated designs, and serving over 10,000 schools. Meanwhile, local government is promoting digital empowerment through “platform + industry” initiatives, helping enterprises develop products more precisely and expand online markets.
